Description: This is a beautiful ladies antique ring, of American origin. It’s stamped 585, the American stamp for 14 carat gold, and has a single large Mother of Pearl stone, 15mm at the widest part. The band is also fairly wide, and the stamp inside is quite worn, but the 585 stamp can still be read clearly. The shoulders have elaborate detail with plenty of scroll work. As there isn’t a hallmark it’s hard to date accurately, but I would guess that the ring is Victorian. The weight is approximately 8 grams, and the size is Q.
